AI Act: Transparency Requirements move into the implementation phase

In an interview published by Lamy Liaisons, Sylvain Joyeux, a partner at the firm, discusses the entry into force of the transparency obligations set out in Article 50 of the AI Act.

Since 2 August 2026, certain transparency obligations applicable to low-risk artificial intelligence systems have come into force. These relate to the labelling of content generated or manipulated by AI, watermarking and user information, and apply, as appropriate, to both suppliers and deployers of AI systems.

Whilst the regulatory framework is now in place, its practical implementation still raises many questions: what information must be provided to users? How can content generated or manipulate by AI be effectively identified? What technical solutions are available to meet these new requirements?

In this article, Sylvain Joyeux sheds light on these issues and the practical challenges associated with the gradual implementation of the AI Act.
